No Deed Is Too Small

I saw the following photo yesterday on my Facebook timeline and was touched beyond belief… I had to share it.

A great reminder that no deed is too small:

I hope the helpful gentleman somehow comes across the note in the paper, so that he is aware that his small action meant so much to the person he helped.

Can you imagine what would happen if everyone just did a little bit extra per day?
Something that didn’t take too much effort or sacrifice, as small as moving rubbish to the side when coming across it on the street so no one trips or slips on it, or giving way at a junction so someone can get to their destination quicker.
Would the world be just a tad bit nicer to live in? Doesn’t improving our circumstances and societies begin with us looking at our own actions and just giving that little bit more?

I’ll leave you with the following inspirational words:

“…we should be remembered for the things we do. The things we do are the most important things of all. They are more important than what we say or what we look like. The things we do outlast our mortality. The things we do are like monuments that people build to honour heroes after they’ve died. They’re like the pyramids that the Egyptians built to honour the Pharaohs. Only instead of being made out of stone, they’re made out of the memories people have of you. That’s why your deeds are like your monuments. Built with memories instead of with stone.”

~R.J. Palaci

How do you feel about building memories? Aren’t they more important than what we say or look like?

Have a great weekend 🙂
