Writing For The Huffington Post

I have GREAT news to share with you…

I am officially writing for the Huffington Post!!!

  • My first post was published on 28/01/2015 and it made the FRONT PAGE of Huffington Post UK on 29/01/2015!
  • It was up there with:
    Barack Obama https://www.barackobama.com/
    Lenny Henry http://lennyhenry.net/
    Mehdi Hasan http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/mehdi-hasan/  and
    Justin Welby http://www.archbishopofcanterbury.org/pages/about-justin-welby.html
    (who was actually below me!)

  • "It is tough to get a blog on HuffPostUK. This guy is not even on the front page." (Referring to Barack Obama)
  • I was also featured on the FRONT PAGE of the Huffington Post UK Lifestyle and Parenting sections on 30/01/15 for 3 days, where my bio link was published.

  • From the moment I was contacted by an Editor at Huff Post to the point of publishing was a whirlwind 24 hours. I was asked to send in an edited shorter version of my post and then give my bio details. I had a lot to think about because up until that point I had remained anonymous to the world. I thought that they would simply be publishing that one post and it would be tucked away in some corner of the Huff Post website.
I was not expecting to be given official contributor status, an account and backstage access for regular submissions, let alone FRONT PAGE placement.
  • My first post was circulated via the Huffington Post UK and Huffington Post UK Lifestyle Facebook pages, which is a privilege in itself.
I was told by an editor that of the 80-100 posts that are published on the WHOLE website, only a select few are shared on the main Facebook page.

  2. Fantastic web site. Plenty of helpful information here.
I’m sending it to several buddies and also sharing in delicious.
And naturally, thank you to your effort!

    • Hello! So glad you accidentally found me!
It is very sad that there is a lack of respect for women who choose to put to their children first. The skills required to raise children are often undermined and the sacrifices we make are huge! We need to continue the fight to be able to make the choices that suit us. Not every woman wants to work and not every woman wants to stay at home. Whatever a woman decides to do is HER choice and the sooner society understands that the better.
Nice to have met you! 🙂
